Hayling Island Portrait Photography – Charlotte & Robert

Being good sport’s award is going to Charlotte and Rob! because soon as we arrived at the location it started raining (typical England!)… yet this did not phase either of them, resulting in a very fun (yet, slightly wet) portrait session. Rob wanted to have their engagement portraits taken at Hayling Island as this is the exact place where he asked Charlotte to marry him. Charlotte and Rob are a very fun couple to work with and I can’t wait to photographing their wedding in the next few weeks because they are getting married in the same venue in which me and my wife did in 2009! I’m really excited. I’ve known Rob since we was in Infants School. To demonstrate how long we’ve known each other look at this (Yes, that is me throwing the peace sign and Robs buried between 2 peoples shoulders!). Now that I’ve embarresd Rob (and Myself) here are the Engagement portraits. I hope you enjoy them guys!

Southsea Wedding Photography – Bradley & Lucy

WOW, I hope all my weddings in 2012 are all this much fun! What a great start to the year. Usually when I write these little intro’s I have everything I want to say all lined up, but I am absolutely speechless on what to write. I’m glad to say that most of my clients are very relaxed and down to earth people, Bradley and Lucy were no different. They wanted their day to be fun and full of surprises (some even the Groom was unaware of). The Bride absolutely fooled everyone with the help of ‘The Wedding Crashers’ who got everyone in the mood for a party… I can honestly say that every person in the room was singing, dancing and having a great time, one of the best group of entertainers I have seen in a long time. I had to go into super stealth mode around this wedding as there was quite a few family members who were camera shy.. nothing a telephoto lens can’t sort out. On that note, I would like thank Bradley, Lucy, Family and Friends for all being so corporative and being all so friendly as it makes my job all that much easier and enjoyable. Oh… whilst I wanting for Lucy to arrive for the Preparations photos, the next-door neighbour very kindly made me a cup of tea. I would love to say “Thank you” as I was in really bad need of one because that was my first one of the day . I call it the ‘Curse of being English’. I hope you all enjoy your photographs.

Lucy - Brads mum just rang me so excited that the photos were up and said that they were amazing. They are so much more than anything that I would have expected the ones of the guests are very funny and lovely to see as I wouldn’t have ever seen everyone’s reactions on the day especially of brads cousins at the wedding crashers. I couldn’t wait to see the ice cream van pic and it was brill I also love the cake cutting pic as it was so hard to cut and that really shows! Just thanks Anthony for capturing our day and being so good at it!

Brad - Thanks very much Anthony, it was a pleasure dealing with you.
The pics have come out superbly, and the feedback from the family has been very complimentary. I think you captured the mood perfectly! Thanks again!

Chichester Portrait Photography – Gemma & Mat

Weeks ago I started a facebook competition where I would get couples to like a certain post within my facebook business page and I would then add their names into a generator and the lucky couple would then receive a FREE portrait session. Those lucky winners were Gemma and Mat and what a great couple they are! We decided to venture around Chichester and then have the portraits taking in and around Chichester Cathedral and the Bishops Palace Gardens which is gorgeous… the only down fall is that there were TONS of people around and it definitely was a challenge trying to find angles without others in the frame but all went well and I’m always up for a challenge. Soon as I started editing these images my wife peeked over my should and said “awwww, they look so in love” and will have to admit that Mat (Mr. Kill-me-in-one punch) and Gemma were a very friendly and down-to-earth couple that they were an absolute pleasure to work with! Resulting in very relaxed portraits. Just for the record, Gemma is a very VERY good cake maker and I have sampled a few (lot) of her cakes at various weddings that I have attended. If you are interested you must visit her facebook page which can be located here.
