Hello and welcome to A'OK Photography. I'm Antony Turner (the one in the middle) and I'm a Wedding and Portrait photographer with a difference. I consider myself a Photojournalist because I capture laughter, nervousness, tears and smiles through photojournalism which produces an honest and sincere reflection of YOU.

I exercise a very unique photojournalistic approach when photographing your wedding and because your wedding will be completely uninterrupted it allows us to beautifully document your wedding day in a style that results in a lovely visual story of the bride and grooms wedding day from start to finish.

I capture images quietly and without any fuss as possible making sure your day gets documented with out any interruptions. I create most images using natural light rather than flash and I do not use ridiculous arrays of lights, fake set pieces or forced poses and smiles.

I consider it to be Story telling and hopefully one day, I could tell yours...

Portsmouth Wedding Photographer – Jason & Violeta

Jason & Violeta’s wedding had a very warm and personal touch as they only had a very few guests and everything was handmade making the event very imaginative and resourceful. During the whole day everyone was very tearful as the lovely couple have been waiting for 3 years to get married but due to personal issues they have had to cancel their wedding twice, making this the 3rd time lucky! The couple got married in Portsmouth Registry Office and had a small meal in Southsea above Monks Bar at the Brasserie Restaurant (as number ’8 The Kings’ went into liquidation 2 days before their wedding!) followed by a few drinks downstairs with a couple of extra guests. It was nice to see allot of familiar faces at the wedding as I photographed Violeta’s mum & step-dads wedding in July 2010 at Oxford and also allot of work colleagues showed up to show their appreciation. I’ve known Violeta for a number of years now and would also like to congratulate her and Jason on there marriage to one-another. I hope you both love your photographs Mr and Mrs Holmes! It was a pleasure to photograph.

Southsea Pier Portrait Photographer – Jason & Violeta

Violeta (Vi) and Jason (Jay) are getting married in the next few weeks locally in Portsmouth and they have been waiting quite a while to have their portraits taken as every time we go venturing out it ends up raining or thundering. This day made up for the times before as there was huge amounts of sunshine. We decided to take a stroll down Southsea seafront (from one end to the other). We visited the Funfair, South Parade Pier, the Rock Gardens and then finally a walk along the beach to finished the day off. The portrait session took a little longer then usual but the couple are so down to earth and allot of fun to work with that it didn’t seem that long at all. I hope you love your photos and can’t wait for the big day. Enjoy!

Southsea Park Portrait Photographer – Joey & Millie

I took my kids (Millie and Joey) a little while ago to go play in Southsea park for a mess around (and to exhaust them out). We were there 10 minutes then they decided they wanted to run away from poor hungover daddy really really fast and run and play in the water park… who was I to stop them when I was getting photos like this! after about 20 minutes they were soaked and cold so wrapped them up really tight, threw the heating on in the car to full whack and they slept for hours. Bliss
